Running your own business is exciting, rewarding — and sometimes overwhelming. You’ve built something you believe in, but it’s easy to lose perspective when you’re deep in the day-to-day.
At Level Up, we’ve supported independent business owners since 2006 to grow their companies, develop their leadership, and achieve their full potential.
Every business needs direction — and the right strategy to get there. We help you clarify your long-term vision, explore your strategic options, and design a clear plan for success. Through structured conversations and proven frameworks, you’ll gain clarity, focus, and confidence to make informed decisions that drive your business forward.
See your future clearly — and chart the path to get there.
A great strategy needs a practical plan.
We work with you to create actionable roadmaps — business plans, sales and marketing strategies, budgets, and 90-day sprints — that turn ambition into measurable progress. Together, we’ll map out how to grow sales, increase profit, and build the team and systems to make growth sustainable.
Build the plan. Deliver the results.
Every great business leader needs a sounding board. Our coaching gives you space to think, tools to act, and the accountability to stay on course. We challenge assumptions, help you explore new perspectives, and ensure your decisions align with your goals and values.
As your coach, we’re your trusted partner and critical friend — supportive, objective, and fully committed to helping you reach the next Level Up.
Clarity, challenge, accountability — exactly when you need it.
For ambitious leaders, standing still is not an option. Our Non-Executive Director and board support services bring external challenge, accountability, and strategic insight to your senior team. We help you stay sharp, focused, and growth-oriented — ensuring both personal and business development as your organisation evolves.
Independent perspective. Sustained performance
While it is true that all businesses will face similar challenges, it is just as true that no two businesses are the same after all, no two business owners are the same.
So we ensure right from the outset that your programme is customised to you – aligned to your goals, your aspirations, your strengths and your values.
And in return, you can access our knowledge, experience and insight to help you
There are two types of commitment you need to be aware of.
One is the commitment to the coaching sessions themselves. These will happen regularly, and at a frequency that suits you and your business needs. Generally Level Up clients are on programmes which vary from Weekly, to Fortnightly, Monthly or Quarterly. Each coaching session is around 60-90 minutes and face-to-face, either remotely or in-person.
Secondly – and importantly – is your commitment to working ON the business between our coaching sessions. We will agree actions each time we meet, and it is important for the success of your programme and of your business plan that you do these and review them with us as we go along. This requires commitment of time, of resource and of transparency.
Level Up business support covers all aspects of running an independent business – from understanding finances, through sales and marketing, operational efficiency, systems and processes all the way to managing and leading people and teams.
We work in partnership with your other professional advisors such as accountants, bookkeepers, HR and marketing to ensure that you are giving clear direction and fully understanding the advice given.
All meetings are held face to face – either remotely via MS Teams, Google Meet or Zoom, or in person on your premises or at a neutral venue.
Our support programmes do not just begin and end with meetings though – we are always available to support you with queries or issues as they arise via email, phone or video call at no additional cost.
We have experience of offering support to businesses from start-up to exit, from single person entities to businesses employing more than 1200 staff.
Results from Coaching and Mentoring programmes would seem to be optimised once a business is employing from 4-5 people upwards – this is because there is capacity in terms of people, time and finance to invest in developing the business which might be lacking in a very small business.
We can, however, offer bespoke support to start-ups and very small businesses – just contact us and arrange a free telephone consultation.
What Level Up is about is empowering business leaders to make their businesses a success – coaching them to become great leaders themselves.
As a result, our business support programmes start with the principals of the business – whether that is the founder(s), business owner(s) or Directors. Without their full support, buy-in and participation, most interventions in an independent business are likely to fail.
Typically anything up to four senior leaders can be fully involved in a Coaching programme – but more common is simply one or two.
